1. blinding: to avoid the regrowth of root-stocks on the vines an accurate blinding is made.
2. Cutting the root-stocks: every cutting is made according to the site of plantation of the grapevine.
3. Cutting the grafted cuttings: to make sure that the grafted cuttings grow well in nursery they are controlled at the time of the cutting.
4. Grafting: Assembly of the root-stock and of the grafted cutting by a qualified staff.
5. Soaking: the young vines then dipped into a wax bath of protection containing fungicides.
6. Stoking: before being planted (Spring) the young vines are warmed to allow the development of the weld at the grafting point.
7. Sorting: after lifting at the end of the vegetative cycle (Autumn), the sorting is made in a workshop where 3 essential criteria of a top-grade vine plant are controlled:
- Regular and strong weld at the point of grafting.
- Well developed shoot.
- Roots are well developed (at least 3 roots regularly distributed on the heel).
8. Packaging: in bunch, before expedition in bags or cardboard boxes.
9. Conservation: plants are kept in refrigerated suited premises (between 2°C and 4°C) before the delivery .
